Wonderful place!

We had an absolutely lovely stay in this cozy and chic cabin. Ryan and Val were great hosts, accommodating and responsive to our questions. They obviously put a lot of thought and care into their property. I highly recommend a stay at the Chateau Marmot!

Our Chateau Marmot review from 2/2021

I will start by saying our stay wasn't perfect (some heat and water issues). The true test of any provider is how they respond to issues. In this regard the owners were very responsive and more than fair. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again. As for the property, the A-frame cabin itself is great. The period furnishings and aesthetic are wonderful. It has plenty of space to move around and multiple places to relax. The bunkroom is great for kids and the upstairs sleeping area has good separation from the rest of the living area. The kitchen has a very generous amount of counter space. Please note that in general your activities are going to require driving. Packwood has enough stores for the supplies you will need, and the area is really quite beautiful. We explored around White Pass (some good spots for snowshoeing) and went down to the Elk feeding refuge and hike which our young kids enjoyed. Lots of great hiking in the area, the provides guide on things to do is very honest and comprehensive.

Dreamy Cabin

Had the best time at this cabin with our friends to celebrate my birthday. It’s the perfect size for two couples. The kitchen is spacious and stocked with everything you would need. We went skiing at White Pass (which was also incredible) and came back to a cozy cabin. The hot tub was a hit for all of us, and we saw a group on of elk passing through the first night. While outside the next morning, we made friends with a neighbor who let us fish off his property that connected to the Cowlitz River. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Thank you!

Looking forward to our next stay.

This place has so much going for it. The bed was comfortable (memory foam pillows!), the fireplace cozy, the cedar soaking tub incredible, and so many thoughtful details that made it one of the more memorable rentals we have been to. The location was a bit less secluded than we were expecting from the photos — in a quiet albeit residential area with visible neighbors — but especially at night it was easy to forget they were there. The hosts were accommodating and made the rules and expectations super clear and easy to follow. We would love to stay again!

On camera?

Had a wonderful time. Cabin is wonderfully equipped and lovely. I have some concern about a motion detector in the main room of the cabin, wasn't sure if it was hooked up to a camera and we never heard back in that regard. So for our entire trip, we thought we were on camera, which put a bit of a damper on our trip. If it isn't hooked up to a camera or if there's some other reason for this, I'd recommend it. But I find it weird they never responded.

We replied to your message, and I forwarded you our time-stamped reply. The device that you were concerned about is a Nest smoke detector, with a night light on a motion sensor. There are no cameras inside the property.

Lovely Spot for a Getaway!

Such a cozy and relaxing spot to get away from city life for a few days! The decor is charming, the hot tub was delightful, and we thoroughly enjoyed the food & ambiance at White Pass Taqueria nearby. Highly recommend!

Helpful Host Made All the Difference

We staid at Chateau Marmot as our second Little Owl Cabin and loved it so much. While we were there, there was a terrible rainstorm that knocked out the power and Ryan was at our door with extra firewood and batteries within 20 minutes without us even asking. It was nice to know there's a local person to help if you run into any bumps. We bring out shepherd pup with us and he loved this space with the big yard. Can't wait to try the rest of the cabins but overall could not recommend them more!

Staying at Chateau Marmot was a dream come true.

The cabin is spacious, well-appointed, and beautifully decorated. I especially enjoyed the outdoor space and the hot tub! They took COVID-19 precautions extremely seriously and everything was sparkling clean. Definitely one of my favorite Airbnb stays yet!

Already looking forward to my next stay at the Chateau.

This place is the best. The kitchen was loaded with everything you could imagine and always want in a rental! It made it very easy to cook as if we were at home. I also love staying in a place that is stylish and doesn't feel like someone's long forgotten vacation home. It is beautifully decorated. The living room is a perfect place for lounging- we couldn't stop talking about how magical it would be in the winter. We drove to gorgeous hikes and rode our bikes during the day and recovered in the lovely soaking tub in the evening. It really was a dreamy vacation. Ryan was also extremely easy to get in touch with and was overall a fabulous host.

Such a beautiful cabin and we absolutely loved our stay here.

We went to go explore Silver Falls Trail at Mount Rainier National Park (only a 20 minute drive) and highly recommend! Such a close drive to accessing the national park! Also go grab yourself coffee and pastries at The Mountain Goat in downtown Packwood (our favorite, so delicious we stopped there twice)! The cedar hot tub was so nice to soak in after a long day of hiking. All of the vintage touches and decor in the apartment were spot on. Thank you so much!
